DESCRIPTION:Come out and provide your input into TransformTO’s Climate Action Strategy \nThe Brown School Eco Club and Parent Council invite you to attend a public meeting to provide input to inform the TransformTO Implementation Plan to 2023. \nThis meeting will take place in the library of Brown Junior Public School from 7:00-9:00pm. Please enter the school through the front doors and use the central staircase to reach the second floor where the library is located. \nWe recommend that you review the information to be discussed in advance of the event\, and come prepared to share your ideas. The conversation guide for the event can be found here: www.toronto.ca/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/974b-TTO-Conversation-Guide-V3.pdf. \nClick here to register for free! \n\nAbout this event: \nIn 2017\, Toronto City Council unanimously voted to pass TransformTO\, the City’s climate action strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80 percent of 1990 levels by 2050. To reach this target\, Toronto needs to make transformative changes to the ways we travel\, build\, use energy\, and manage waste— and the City needs your input on the next set of short-term climate actions from 2021-2023 that will support those transformations. \nThe TransformTO Implementation Plan will be presented to City Council in early 2020. The actions in the Implementation Plan aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and integrate climate resilience while maximizing benefits to the community. \nJoin us to give input on what climate action priorities should be included in the TransformTO Implementation Plan to 2023 to support the City in reaching its 2050 target. DESCRIPTION:Each child at Brown has designed a unique greeting card on the theme of kindness. A sample card of your child’s work will be coming home by backpack mail this week with ordering instructions. You have the chance to buy a pack (or two) of your child’s custom greeting card. 50% of the funds from your purchase will go directly to the school’s new playground. \nDeadline for ordering is on November 30th.\nThe Parent Council has bought a school set of the cards. They will be installed in the hallway by the gym. All parents have the chance to buy a blank card and create their own message of kindness to be integrated into the piece. Thereby creating an artwork installation that involves the entire Brown School Community. Parents can pay $10 to participate. Cards available in the office.

He has published in the area of intergenerational trauma and has spoken at conferences in North America and Europe. In addition to private practices\, which he maintains in Toronto and Stockholm\, Mitch has worked in the Hospital Emergency Room as a Crisis Intervention Specialist and he trains and teaches therapists in Canada and Sweden.
