In a traditional year, the school requires a minimum budget of approximately $50-65K, which helps to improve and enrich the daily lives and experiences of our children. The Brown JPS School Council and its Fundraising Committee are currently in the process of soliciting parent and caretaker feedback as it relates to fundraising priorities and assessing and designing fundraising plans for the year. We look forward to updating you soon and thank you in advance for your continued generosity that supports our students.
The school’s fundraising priorities currently include:
- experiential learning opportunities for students, things like artists in the school, performances, hands-on student workshops, and guest speakers
- our commitment-to-play by refreshing our recess bags for outdoor play and purchasing board games for use in the classrooms
- our commitment to early reading instruction and intervention by purchasing decodable texts, readers, and lesson plans for teachers.
